Owner & Founder, Good Ol' Boys Construction

What if you're capable of more than you ever imagined?

I'm Adam Kiger — a father, entrepreneur, and recovering addict. I'm not here because I have life all figured out. I'm here because I've seen what can happen when you decide you want more for your life — and you're willing to fight for it.

I believe in hard work, grit, determination, and never giving up. There is no limit to how far you can go when you refuse to give up on yourself.

I've lived through incredibly difficult moments and experienced success I once could've only dreamed of. I've learned that real change comes down to making the next right decision, embracing the sacrifice, and never giving up.

Take the risk. Dream big. Do the work. Never stop believing in yourself.

My story

I'm living proof that your past doesn't define your present or hinder your purpose.

As a kid, I was carrying more than I knew how to handle, and it shaped the path I took. The path of addiction took me to depths I never wanted to experience — chemical dependency, jail, probation, rehab, and finally, prison.

Along the way, I lost sight of my morals, my values, and ultimately, who I was as a man. The decisions I was making were slowly destroying the strong-willed, intelligent, upbeat person who was still somewhere inside of me.

Facing the truth that I was literally destroying myself became my final turning point.

After years of halfhearted attempts to turn my life around, I finally made a real decision to change — and never look back.

But making that decision was only the beginning.

I had spent years tearing my life apart. Rebuilding it wasn't going to happen overnight. I had to learn how to live differently. I had to rebuild my morals, my values, my relationships, and most importantly, myself.

I learned discipline. Accountability. Sacrifice.

I learned that changing your life isn't about making one good decision. It's about making the next right decision, over and over again — especially when it's hard.

Slowly, the person I thought I had lost started coming back. My faith grew stronger. I started believing in myself again. And for the first time in a long time, I wasn't just trying to survive my life.

I was building one.

Then I became a father. And that changed everything.

For the first time, my life wasn't just about the man I wanted to become. It was about the example I wanted to set and the life I wanted to create for my daughter. I wanted her to grow up knowing a father who showed up. A father who worked hard. Kept his word. Stood for something. And refused to give up when life got hard.

I wanted her to be proud of the man she called Dad.

Fatherhood gave me a purpose bigger than myself. It gave me another reason to keep growing, keep pushing, and keep building.

Eventually, that same drive pushed me to take one of the biggest risks of my life. I walked away from the security of a regular paycheck and bet on myself.

I didn't come from money. I didn't have some perfect plan. And I had absolutely no guarantee that any of it was going to work. What I had was a vision, a relentless work ethic, and the belief that if I was willing to work hard enough, I could build something bigger.

So I went all in.

I took everything life had taught me — the discipline, the sacrifice, the failures, the setbacks, and the refusal to give up — and poured it into building something of my own. That something became Good Ol' Boys Construction.

What started with a decision to take a chance on myself grew into a multimillion-dollar business in just a few years. But somewhere along the way, I realized something. The business was never the greatest thing I built.

The greatest thing I built was the man capable of building it.

Fast-forward more than 12 years, and my life looks completely different. I'm clean and sober, living a life of recovery. I'm a father. An entrepreneur. A man of faith. I've experienced success that the younger version of me never could have imagined.

But more important than any title, accomplishment, or amount of success: I know who I am today.

And I know none of it happened overnight. It happened through thousands of decisions. Through sacrifice. Through failure. Through faith. Through getting knocked down and choosing to get back up. It happened because I kept making the next right decision — even when it was the harder one.

That's why I share my story.

Not because I have life figured out. Not because every decision I make is the right one. And not because I'm done growing. I share it because I know what it feels like to lose yourself — and I know what it takes to find yourself again.

I know what it feels like to believe you've gone too far. To look at your circumstances and wonder how your life could ever become something different. But I also know this:

Your worst decisions do not have to become your identity. Your past does not have to become your future. And where you are today does not determine where you can go from here.

If my story proves anything, I hope it proves that you are never too far gone to change the direction of your life.

But nobody can make that decision for you. Nobody is coming to do the work for you. Nobody can want it badly enough for you. And nothing changes until you decide that it has to.

At some point, you have to take control of your life. You have to make the decision. You have to make the sacrifices. You have to do the work. And when life knocks you down, you have to decide to get back up.

Take the risk. Dream big. Do the work. Make the next right decision. Never stop believing in yourself.

Because the life waiting on the other side of that decision may be more than you ever imagined.

The determining factor is you.

What I talk about

  1. 01

    Taking control of your life.

Your circumstances may shape where you start, but they don't get to decide where you finish. Your mindset, your decisions, and what you do next are yours.

  2. 02

Betting on yourself and building something from nothing.

No investors. No safety net. No guarantees. Just a vision, relentless work ethic, and the willingness to take the risk and make it happen.

  3. 03

Addiction, prison, and rebuilding your life.

What it takes to come back from your lowest point, stay clean, rebuild yourself, and keep making the next right decision.

  4. 04

Building a company that people can trust.

Keeping your word, taking accountability, doing things the right way, and earning trust in an industry where it's been broken too many times.

  5. 05

    Faith, fatherhood, and leadership.

Becoming the man everyone around you can grow from. Leading through discipline, hard work, and example.
